Ozark Wild Flowers

Its that time of year where April showers have brought May wild flowers to the Ozark highways and byways.  Our flowering Dogwoods have just completed a spectacle blooming season and now the wild flowers are popping up along side the roads and along the back wood trails.  The Ozark's are a subject rich environment for wild flower photographers; if it would just stop raining.

Arts Rolla

The City of Rolla sponored through its art promotion program a call for photographs from the surrounding area so asking Linda, which images she thought that I should enter we decided on two landscape pictures, "Kerry's Pond" and "View from Highway 17."  My pictures did not win any awards however they were seen by many different people during the month of the show.  I spoke to the judge after and got a few pointers.  My taste in pictures and his run at polar opposite.  I prefer an Ansel Adams type landscape image.

The Beauty of Flowers

I recently took an online course taught by Kathleen Clemons on photographing the beauty of flowers and how to explore flowers or a group of flowers with your camera. I would like to share some of my favorite images from that class.
